YOUTH PROGRAM

B&B Outfitters has joined forces with the Texas Wildlife
Association (TWA) and the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD)
to offer youth hunts that are safe, educational, and full of
fun. We sponsor introductory, instructive hunts for children
between the ages of 9 and 16 that have either been abused,
abandoned or those who are otherwise underprivileged. These
children are provided by various youth advocacy agencies
throughout Texas.
There are many ranches that offer these hunts to children from
all walks of life. We have chosen to limit our hunts to help
those in need. For more information on a youth hunting program
for your child, please contact the number below.
Our Mission
The Texas Youth Hunting Program was established to increase the
numbers of youths participating in wildlife and hunting activities
and to promote the hunting heritage in Texas.
Our Goals
To preserve the hunting heritage in Texas for present and future
generations.
To instill in youth a basic understanding of practical
conservation measures.
To encourage wildlife habitat access, enhancement and management.
To teach the basic skills, values, techniques and responsibilities
of hunting.
To promote the highest ethical standards in hunting.
To give our youth an initial, positive, safe, educational,
mentored hunting experience
On our youth hunts, you will:
Learn how to hunt safely, legally and ethically.
Experience a firing range.
Find out how to track game.
Learn how to process game.
Appreciate nature first-hand.
Make new friends.
Spend quality time with family and friends.
Maybe do a little fishing and exploring.
You will leave our youth hunts with experiences and memories to
last a lifetime.
VOLUNTEERS MAKE IT HAPPEN.
We have a place where you can contribute.
Only through the work and resources of volunteers can TYHP provide
thousands of safe, educational and memorable hunting experiences.
Our entire program is based on volunteer landowners who open their
ranch gates for youth hunters, and other volunteers who plan and
run hunts. TYHP can provide everything for successful hunts -
except hunting opportunities and dedicated personnel. To preserve
hunting experiences for our future generations! There are many
opportunities for you to take an active role in our volunteer
force.
