TURKEY HUNTING REPORTS 2006

April 24-27, 2006 (Robby Butts, Lance Knowles, Tyler Cooley)

These totally cool guys came to us from Alabama.  And they were the last of our forty hunters in what turned out to be a truly spectacular turkey season.  These guys were awesome hunters (Lance was another newby to hunting!) and all went home with smiles.

Here's what Robby had to say:

Dear Bucky and Leesa,
I just wanted to write and thank you for the wonderful time I had while visiting your ranch to Turkey hunt. As you well know it was my first time to go on a paid hunt of any kind and you guys definitely made it one to remember and never forget. I have already started spreading the word to everyone I have talked to about your ranch and the unbelievable amounts of Turkeys & Jackrabbits that y'all have on your ranch. I just wanted to thank you again for the best three days of hunting I've ever had, the tremendous job of cooking Ms. Leesa did, and most of all the best hospitality you could ask for. I hope us three Mobile boys weren't too much of a pain for you and hopefully will be back to hunt again one day real soon in the future.

Thanks a million,
Robby Butts

April 22-23, 2006 (Matt Wittwer, Ryan Haney; Russell and Brandy Pritchard)

Talk about a good friend! Matt bought his best friend, Ryan, this two day turkey hunt.  Everyone needs buddies like that!  Great gift and great job!

Russell and Brandy came to us from Alabama; he to hunt; her to hang out.  We certainly enjoyed have both of them down.  Hope to see all of y'all again!!

April 18-20, 2006 (Andy Kiefner and Mike Clark)

These two guys, friends and colleagues, came from Ohio for a break from work.  Looks like it was a wise choice!

-A note from Mike:

Dear B&B Outfitters,
Wow!!!!!!!!!!!what a turkey hunt!!!!!!!!!!!!I could not believe the amount of birds on your ranch. The thing that made the hunt even better was the awesome food. I ate like a king. You guys made me feel right at home even though I was 1600 miles from Ohio. I am looking forward to seeing you guys next year and many years to come.

Thanks,
Mike Clarke
Coshocton, OH

April 14-17, 2006 (Chuck Stoner, Jeff and Matthew Bechtel, Justin Gernert)

Chuck, one of our favorite repeaters (a lifer!), brough along some good friends for a whole lot of hunting.  It was hot, but the hunting was great!  Take a look at all the birds!!!

April 11-13, 2006 (Daniel Roberts, Michael Burgard and Wayne "Skip" Moore)

These guys were a fun bunch to be around.  Skip was a newby to the turkey hunting world, took a lot of ribbing and kidding from all, but got both of his birds!  We've unleashed a beast!!! Good job and many attaboys!!!

April 12-13, 2006 (Jim Keller)

Jim was on a mission - to complete his slam. And we are most happy to report that he did!  Congratulations, Jim!!!

April 7-8, 2006 (Blair Johnson, David McMichael, Doug Evans, Corey Sledge and Jim Simonson from Ward Mechanical; Dave Heuermann and Blake Battle from AZ; William McNair, and his brother Mike and their friend Danny)

We had a lot of hunters in camp this time representing different states.  We had a great group of gentlemen with Ward Mechanical, two buddies from Arizona, two from Texas and a loan Floridian - they tore up the birds!  Just take a look!  Great job, guys!!!!

April 6-7, 2006 (Dr. John Varos)

This 70 year old dynamo not only bagged his two bird, but found the ever elusive West Texas Jackalope buck!!!!  What a super guy from New Orleans!  He came with his buddy of more than 40 years, Dr. Jim, who came to see John hunt. Hope to see you two live wires next year!!!

April 4-5, 2006 (Tom Fiedler, Mike Raycraft)

These hunters from Illinois, in their first year with us, had a bang up time.  Not only did they both get there birds, but a bobcat as well!  Good job, gentlemen!

April 4-6, 2006 (Greg Young, Danny Talton)

Northern Alabama was represented by these fine hunters.  It was there first time to hunt with us, but hopefully not the last.  Great job, guys!

April 1-3, 2006
(Barry Camilleri, Tony and Bret Hendrix, Billy and Leon Drunkenmiller)

This great group of hunters hale from Alabama. Barry and Tony are reps from Sherwin Williams Co., who hunted with us last year. Billy is one of their clients and the rest are family members. They are not only fun to hunt with, but are most excellent hunters. They did very well for opening weekend 2006. Thanks guys. T
hey have already booked 10 hunts for the 2007 season and will take part in our big game contest! We'll see you next year!!!

April 1-2, 2006 (Steve, Alec and Eric Bardin, Jim Weaver)

These Californians came for 3 days, but shot out in less than 2 days.  Jim actually harvested both of his birds the first morning of the first day of opening day!  Not too bad for someone who'd never hunted turkey before!  Eric, who'd shot a turkey while deer hunting with us 3 years ago, came along with his brother, Alec, to see dad shine!  Great job, Steve.  Hope to see you all back again!
